Catalog Note: Cordova Plaza was the 24th Presentation Print for the members of the Woodcut Society. Chamberlain notes that it was distributed in a folder with an essay by William Eggers, “Gustave Baumann and his woodcut, Cordova Plaza.” The two children riding on a donkey in the print were inspired by a photograph Baumann took, which is now in the collection of the New Mexico Museum of Art in Santa Fe.
