Catalog Note:
This pair of Hans Wegner chairs came directly from the Francis A. Countway Library of Medicine at the Harvard Medical School, designed by architect Hugh Stubbins (who was invited to teach at Harvard by Walter Gropius). The photographs shown are mostly from 1965, shortly after the building completed construction.

Condition Report:
Both chairs have been reupholstered and refinished at some point in the recent past and show some signs of prior repairs. One chair has a current break towards the top of a back support and also shows a repair to the bottom of one leg. The other chair was previously repaired in this same upright back support area. Overall good restored condition.
